Client Challenge
We were approached by Ready to Cook company recently only. As the name suggests, they deliver cooked meals all over the city. They were facing problems with marketing their products and get it delivered on time. With that, the delivery partners also were facing difficulties in finding the exact location of their customers.
Basically they wanted an efficient working mechanism that could put the entire process to ease and help them carry out their activities conveniently.
Our Solution
We built a special application for them that had numerous features helping carry out the entire process with ease.
Location Based
We added an option to ‘Select Your City & Area’ in the beginning only which is displayed in the main section on the app. With the help of this feature, their delivery zone is identified automatically.
Sign in/ Register
In the website, we used distinct terms like ‘New User’, ‘Register’ or ‘Sign Up’ to try and make the registration easier as well as convenient for the users to identify their category.
Menu
The menu option was already in the task bar which could easily be seen by the customers. It had many filters which were divided on the basis of
- veg
- non-veg
- quick bites
- main course
- sides
- beverages & desserts
Add to Cart
This option lets the user add products into the cart and then proceed with payment. This feature is known to be the backbone of any e-commerce site. We also made the added products appear at the bottom of the app.
Push Notifications
We added that sends an alert every time there is a new deal or offer of the day, this notifies the customers and ends up inciting them to actually avail that offer. These notifications are sent via application, SMS and even Email.
Payment option
This feature has made making payments way easier and provided the customers with many options than just cash on delivery.
Order Status
As the food goes through different stages, the customer is notified about that simultaneously.
Order Tracking
As much as this feature is used in every single application, its importance never seems to diminish. With real-time order tracking, the user could watch and monitor where their order is and how much time it would take to get it delivered.
Repeat Orders
Many times, the customers would want to reorder those items they purchased the last time. We added a ' repeat order ' feature that made the experience even easier for the customers.
