Client Challenge
We made a mobile application for Flyschool. With the new shift in imparting education online, the situation demanded it and we came up with a solution that would prove beneficial for both teachers as well as students.
- Had to download and access a number of applications to connect
- Not a single place for the submit or add all the information
- Decreased communication gap between teacher and students
- Problem in performing miscellaneous tasks like attendance and keeping track of scores
Our Solution
Easy access to grades
We realise that parents involvement is crucial to in the growth of children as well as the school. So, keeping this factor in mind we added a feature through which parents could access the grades of their children. Beyond grades and test scores, checking in on homework assignments is a great functionality which we added in the mobile app.
Message Board
This feature gave the opportunity to promote the latest happenings of the school through words, pictures and videos. This feature also helps the parents to show their involvement in the school activities directly on the mobile app.
Miscellaneous Tasks
The application provided ease to the teachers in performing tasks like attendance, collecting homework and assignments. These tasks took way more time and were not accurate but through the application, a teacher had to invest 40 per cent of their lecture time for just marking the attendance.
Student data security
Security is of utmost importance. So, the application has facilities like encrypted transmission of information and secure login methods like OTP generation. It helped keep the data safe and secured.
The Benefits
Valuable time utilization
With a new strain on E-learning, having a mobile app benefitted both school management and children to a great extent. It enabled students to utilize their time using mobile phones in a much more productive way.
Individual Attention
Through the applications, even the teachers were able to engage with each and every student with what is being taught.
Video Projects
This made children tech-savvy. As the teachers also started giving the kind of projects that made them use their imagination in order to make projects that are more creative by using the internet.
Engagement & Interaction
This kept teaching unique and interesting which is a crucial aspect to engage students and the mobile application did just that.
Eventually, the entire process led to the growth of both ventures i.e. Fly School as well as Spider India.
